This website is dedicated to the restoration and development of the Stupa site at Karma Choeling Buddhist Monastery. Eight stupas were built between 1977 and 1999, they are located along a bushy ridge at the Monastery. We are restoring the retaining walls to stabilise the ridge and developing the Stupa surrounds, including; balustrades, lighting, new paths, a meditation room and planting.
Please feel free to come and visit the stupas, we are open every day from 8am to 6pm. We are located 40 minutes north of Auckland, click here for map.
How you can get involved:
- come along to a working bee, we need people to do all sorts of jobs from carrying things to block laying to cooking.
- help to raise funds, if you have an idea for raising money we’d love to hear from you
- buy from our shop, all proceeds go directly to the stupa project.
- donate money directly to our account:
NZ Karma Kagyu Trust, ASB, 12-3209-0303196-02
We are a charitable organisation all donations are tax deductible.
