Many thanks to all the fabulous volunteers who cleaned, sanded and painted: Melissa, Bex, Abby, Naomi, Chris, Jess and Greg, Bruce, Katia, Dean, Tony the neighbour who kindly helped with plastering and Dave the painter for useful advice and paint. We didn’t quite get it finished and will be painting again in Spring 2021.

Footings for curved wall at northern end of Stupas – Aug/ Sept 2019
Here we’re digging, making boxing and pouring concrete for at the northern end of the Stupas by the Parinirvana Stupa. It’s a particularly narrow part of the hill and the original retaining walls weren’t symmetrical. So we decided to make this section into a nice curved wall at the end which will make the two sides symmetrical. Eventually there will be a 2m wide gate at the northern end. The curved wall was an alteration to the original plan so we had to cut away a small section of the original wall before we could do anything else.
These photos are from two working bees in August and September 2019.
Many thanks to Lay, Tom, Peter, Bruce, Molly, Dave, Annie.
