The old one kept springing leaks, so we now have a beautiful new water tank for cleaning and painting the stupas
A very pleasant day cleaning the Stupas. Thanks to all the helpers: Tom, Bruce, Peter, Karen, Christine, Dave, Cooper, Molly and Annie.
Adding drainage pipe to bottom of trench and back filling.
Many thanks to Tom, Lay, Peter, Bruce, Annie.
Here we’re digging, making boxing and pouring concrete for at the northern end of the Stupas by the Parinirvana Stupa. It’s a particularly narrow part of the hill and the original retaining walls weren’t symmetrical. So we decided to make this section into a nice curved wall at the end which will make the two sides symmetrical. Eventually there will be a 2m wide gate at the northern end. The curved wall was an alteration to the original plan so we had to cut away a small section of the original wall before we could do anything else.
These photos are from two working bees in August and September 2019.
Many thanks to Lay, Tom, Peter, Bruce, Molly, Dave, Annie.
Lovely sunny Sunday cleaning stupas, many thanks to: Sean, Lan Mai, Melissa, Peter, Leigh and Tana, David and Molly, Kelly, Dr Lodoe, Datenba, Tom, Lay and Annie.

It’s been a busy February/March digging holes and filling them with steel and concrete. Many thanks to Dominic, Simone, Tom, Michael and Bruce for all your hard work.
This Sunday morning we’ll be transporting builders mix to the stupas with buckets and a tractor.
Please bring shovel (if you have one), hat and water bottle. If you can bring something to contribute for lunch that’s great, but if you can’t, no worries.
Come for a short time or the whole morning.
